White-faced Ibis, Brigantine NWR, still present 7/5/99

The White-faced Ibis was reported at Brigantine both Sunday and Monday mornings, July 4 and 5. According to Paul Lehman, Jimmy Dowdell and others saw it Monday morning at the same spot at the northwest corner of the west pool. It is not an obvious bird; reportedly it has a nice red eye and some palish color riding up and over the bill, but otherwise doesn't stand out much.

Thanks to S. Keller, P. Lehman and R. Johnson for info.
