NJBIRDS,
Today about 11 AM, Ward Dasey discovered a female Brewer's Blackbird at Sharptown, Salem Co. (Tom Bailey and Don Jones reported a probable Brewer's two weeks ago in the area.) By chance Ward met me and Jim Williams nearby, took us back and relocated the bird and we took some video footage of it. The bird was with a mixed blackbird flock at a feedlot one mile north of Rt. 40 on King's Highway (just south of Featherbed Lane) on the west side of the road.
Also present at Sharptown were large numbers of Snow Geese and at least two Ross's Geese. A drake Eurasian Wigeon was still present at Mannington Marsh near Rt 45; Tree Swallows, Pectoral Sandpipers, two Laughing Gulls and a few Yellowlegs were arrivals in the area.
