Subject: Pacific Golden Plover update
NJbirds,
Brent Burke wrote, on the "Jerseybirds" list,
"Yesterday, 9/13, I saw the PAGP at 1:00pm and then left for class at Stockton College. When I returned after class, approximately 5:00pm, the farmers were harvesting sod in the area where the PAGP has been consistently seen. Obviously, there were no birds in that area and I was unable to locate the PAGP. Has anyone seen the Pacific Golden-Plover since the sod harvesting. I'm just curious..."
The combination of the weather change and the habitat change might cause the plover to leave, or cause it to change its location or habits. Please send any information, positive or negative, if you look for this bird today or tomorrow.
