I'm a PhD candidate in Sociology and Social Policy at Princeton University.
My dissertation examines the impact of Hispanic population growth on relations between Blacks and Whites the United States. More broadly, I am interested in inter-group relations and boundary processes, especially as they pertain to race, ethnicity, and nationalism. Additional research projects investigate the consequences of diversity, the geographic distribution of US patriotism, national identification among immigrants, and the contextual determinants of naturalization.
