· In Bainite,
Ferrite
nucleates at the grain
boundaries expelling carbon to form Iron
Carbide. |

· The morphology of the Bainite
depends on the formation temperature. At 495 C the Iron carbide has a rod-like
form. At 410 C it is precipitated inside the Ferrite in an orientation
that minimizes the lattice distortion. |
