Two
unit cells are associated with the tetragonal system. The primative cell
(P) has fractional lattice points at each cell corner for a total of one
lattice point per cell. The bodycentered cell (I) has fractional lattice
points at each cell corner and an additional lattice point at the cell
center for a total of two lattice points per cell.
For this lattice a = b < c ; a = b = g = 90^{0}.
