Summary of Mafia vs. Werewolf Roles

For the understandably confused, we offer this summary list of roles. Feel free to mix and match in any particular game. We have also included the playing card that we most often use to represent the character in question, in order to establish continuity and minimize confusion.

The table is designed for the game of Mafia vs. Werewolves, or for Cats Have n Lives. Pick and choose for other games.

Of course, the selection of cards in completely arbitrary, but the cards listed in this table have become standard here. It's easier to agree on a standard to avoid confusion.

The sole exception that that, when we don't have werewolves, the jack of diamonds is frequently used as the bulletproof vest.
