Founded in 1998, the Workshop is a seminar series for Princeton students and faculty interested in the study of modern U.S. history. The series brings together Americanists from a wide range of sub-disciplines for the purpose of sharing scholarship, presenting student and faculty research, and discussing problems and trends in American history.

The Modern America Workshop is generously supported by the Princeton University History Department and the Shelby Cullom Davis Center for Historical Studies

This year's workshops have been coordinated by Ben Schmidt
