Since 1989 this organization has been working, studying and enjoying
the amazing bird diversity in Bogotá and its surroundings.  It is an
amazing gathering of people interested in bird conservation and
knowledge of Colombia's natural history.

Red Nacional de Observadores de Aves -RNOA-
18 Regional and national ornithological associations of Colombia
united in an amazing effort for Colombian Birds. This "Red" gathers
all the local and regional organizations together for the better understanding of avian diversity. Is a great group of people doing
great things for Colombian birds and people.

Part of the RNOA, ACO publishes the journal "Ornitologia
Colombia" .

Promotes the study and conservation of studies done on
Neotropical birds. Publishes the journal Ornitologia Neotropical.


Hawk Mountain Sanctuary -HMS
It is the oldest migration count point in the world and the best
place to learn about migrating raptors, their importance and
behavior. Thanks to various donors , there are amazing facilities
to do some great research and education. They support
international projects on raptor research and held a Spring
and Fall internship in conservation.
