Dr. Richard T. Barber, our friend, colleague and mentor, will be retiring at the end of the current academic year. Please join us in celebrating his years of scientific insight, enthusiasm and contributions to oceanography.

 

We will be hosting a two-day scientific conference at the Duke University Marine Lab from June 23-24, 2006. Alumni, collaborators, and friends of Dr. Barber’s laboratory are invited to attend. We look forward to your contributions in the form of oral and poster presentations.

 

On Friday, June 23, Dr. Barber will deliver the conference keynote presentation entitled Ocean Ecosystems in the 21st Century. The conference will also feature several plenary talks given by invited guests.
