Douglas Ball's 20 A ticket description* fairly describes the Burn ticket above, except for paper color: "BOUND BY / BURN./ 37 & 38/ KIRBY ST/ [with period under the superscript T] in circular collar (first line in collar), lozenge triple-rule frame decorated in corners, 22 1/2 x 22 1/2 mm; black on fawn; 1855-66 - common."  The ticket illustrated above is a color variant: black on cream/white.  This ticket is found in the books listed below, although not all copies of these books will contain this ticket, or any ticket at all.  It seems unlikely that this ticket was used as early as 1845 as Burn was using rectangular tickets at the time, although it is not yet known whether Burn used rectangular and lozenge-shaped tickets at the same time.  It is undoubtedly true that the exclusive use of lozenge-shaped tickets followed rectangular tickets and pressure stamps.   Based on the publication dates in the titles listed below, the dates this ticket was used (according to Ball) is extended by two years in both directions: 1853-1868.
