21mm x 21mm
brown on fawn
1870-1883

Douglas Ball's 20 E ticket description* fairly describes the Burn ticket above: "BOUND BY/ BURN/ · & CO ·/, BURN in shaped frame crossing ring with remainder of wording, all within lozenge frame of double and single rules, vertical bar decoration to centre, 21 x 21 mm; brown on fawn; 1870-9 - common; one example on 1863 volume must be subsequent binding-up, but prior to 1880."  This ticket is found in the books listed below, although not all copies of these books will contain this ticket, or any ticket at all.  The 1866 title below may or may not be a subsequent binding-up (as Ball implies with the 1863 reference above) but the range of books using this ticket is extended four years beyond Ball's enddate, to 1883.
