Ballet
In my free time I like to do some classical ballet. Here you see me during a performance a couple of years ago. .
Here are some pictures from a recent project I did with my brother Floris van Vugt.
Ballet is a supreme combination of art and exercise, in which you become limber and graceful, and learn to control your body until perfection, and also can be creative at the same time. I recently performed in a new age musical named Planet Discord (February 2007).
I am very lucky to have had two very good teachers in Philadelphia: Kip Martin and Sacha Boitsov. Now I take class at the Princeton Ballet School with Mary Barton and Douglas Martin, and at Princeton University with Ilana Suprun and Mary Barton. I have also worked with a photographer (Craig Rothfuss) on some dance pictures (see below).

When I am dancing back in my hometown Almere, I go to Balletschool Almere. I also take classes in Amsterdam at the Henny Jurriens Stichting in Amsterdam. This is a place where you can take professional ballet and modern dance classes, with an excellent set of rotating teachers, and live piano accompaniment.
