Vita
I grew up in the Netherlands, where I went to grammar school (De Meergronden). During high school I participated several times in the International Olympiad in Informatics. Then I moved to undergraduate education at University College Utrecht. After that, I had a position as a research assistant at the Netherlands Institute of Brain Research, as a programmer in the Image Analysis group. In september 2003 I started graduate school at Brandeis University, but in May 2004 I transferred to the University of Pennsylvania to become a member of the lab of Michael Kahana.
