" We feed you for the sake of God alone, no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks." - 76:9 Quran

  • OUR PD:

This is the first year establishing a chapter of Project Downtown at Princeton University. Every first and third Saturdays of the month we meet in Murray Dodge's East Room at 11 a.m. to prepare about sixty meals for the homeless and hungry of Trenton. For those who have time we then head out to downtown Trenton and distribute the food. We return before 2pm.

We look forward to your joining us as an essential volunteer to help meet the needs of our fellow man.

  • WHY VOLUNTEER?:

Do not belittle the contribution you can make. The Prophet (pbuh) mentioned "(Each one) of you should save himself from the fire by giving even half of a date (in charity). And if you do not find a half date, then (by saying) a pleasant word (to your brethren)" - Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 394.

He (pbuh) also said, "Do not turn away a poor man...even if all you can give is half a date." - Tirmidhi, Hadith 1376.
