Extended to 26 November:

Witness
An exhibition of photographs and missionary documents of the Nanking Massacre

At the School of Architecture Gallery (campus map)

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Nanking Massacre. Despite its far-reaching  implications,  much of the world remains unaware of the events which took place in the Chinese city of Nanking in December 1937. The war left a legacy of distrust, which even today, tarnishes relations between Japan and the other countries of East Asia.

At Princeton University, we are organizing a series of events in commemoration- partly to raise awareness, but more importantly to take a much needed step in the long-stalled healing process. The time is long overdue for an unbiased discussion of the event, which is currently clouded by ignorance, prejudice and politics. This is a fully student-run event. We would like stress that objectivity is a priority in this conference.
