Princeton Water Watch works to educate the community about local water quality problems and give individuals the tools to make a difference. Last October, we held a Street Sweep in Palmer Square to spread the word about our efforts and distribute information about water conservation. In the fall, we would like to organize a Storm Drain Stenciling project (a.k.a. “Project Turtle”) with local schools. Please contact us to help out!
In Spring 2006, we worked with the popular band, Guster, to organize a Climate Change Geo-pardy event to raise awareness about the dangers of global warming. We can’t ignore the devastating floods, droughts, and hurricanes throughout the world. Check out these web sites for more information:
In March a group of Water Watch students spent their spring break in Ocean Springs, Mississippi where they helped rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
