Welcome to a wonderfully wondrous world of intricate complexity, unparalleled beauty and grandeur. You do know what I am talking about? It is never too late to appreciate the graceful dance of biomolecules creating life, making you alive :) I am interested in understanding this dance within the freamwork of probabilistic graphical models and complex dynamical systems. Yeah, I like mathematical rigor and clear logical thinking but that is not all I am talking about; I would concede that the mathematical language can be forbidding even when the underling ideas are simple. What I am talking about are the overarching principles, the universal recurrent themes in nature, the elegant simplicity behind spectacularly complex dynamical behaviors. I mean the language of complex non-linear dynamical systems, from the cell to food webs and to society; I mean life and nature, their splendor, ever inspiring appeal, and puzzling complexity. There is a wonderfully wonderful world out there and this is my little door to its majesty.
