Sunday Hike south on the Long Trail to Congdon Shelter; looking out of lean-to to the right, trail

just above privy, 200ft up trail is tent space. If creek is dry follow it downstream 100

yards to Stamford Stream. STEEP first day climb

Congdon Camp; no good tarp space
Monday Hike south on the Long Trail to junction with a blue-blazed spur trail. Campsite is 0.2

miles west on the blue trail.

Roaring Branch, Sucker Pond, Stamford Stream, Brook 350 ft. to west of campsite
Campsite2:
Seth Warner shelter. better campsite along trail which leads away from front of

shelter.
Tuesday Hike south on the Long Trail, which becomes the Appalachian Trail at the Vt./Ma.

border. After the trail passes Sherman Brook there will be a side trail to the Sherman

Brook campsite. (Steep/rocky coming into camp); if bad weather or even if you just

want to, take the bad weather detour trail; You want to get out of camp early

tomorrow…

Wednes Hike south on AT through North Adams to Rt. 2 at traffic light - follow along road away

from reservoir, cross Rt. 2 and straight on Phelps Road to jct. Catherine Rd., walk

100 yds on road, house on right, AT behind house hike south on AT towards summit Mt

Williams, side trail to Wilbur's Clearing Shelter, camp. do summit coming over or as

side hike after camp. Recommended lunch at Money Brook--must get out of camp

before 9am to reach the great summit; Elementary school on side of road today, do

not bother students in session

Wilbur's Clearing Shelter, no tarp space, no reservation needed
Thursday Hike south on AT over Mt. Greylock (highest point in MA! Great views!), where trail

crosses Rockwell Road, hike west on Hopper Trail to Deer Hill Trail, camp at Deer Hill

Shelter. Can do day hike on Greylock area trails PERMIT REQUIRED. If the Deer

Hill Shelter is full there is a primitive campsite just past Hopper Rd. along Hopper Trail.

Friday Stoney Ledge Ski Trail to Roaring Brook. Roaring Brook Road, hike west on Road to jct. with Mass. 7, meet bus at Department of

Public Works 100 yards south of road jct; If soloing today, start them after the trail divides (about 50 yards after trailhead), rather than

before because it is a tricky divide.
