Mission

Princeton University's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Student Services is by, for, and about lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgendered, intersex, questioning, and ally members of the Princeton University community. LGBT Student Services works to create a safe and supportive academic environment through providing educational opportunities and advocating for the needs and concerns of LGBT students.

We strive to improve the Princeton University campus climate by coordinating efforts across campus, providing outreach to
students, staff, and faculty, and working to ensure the inclusion and integration of LGBT issues campus wide. Our goal is to enhance the Princeton University campus community and to ensure the advancement of our students’ academic pursuits by creating an open and affirming environment void of homophobia, heterosexism, and gender bias.

Through providing educational, social, and supportive programming, along with conducting training sessions and consultation, LGBT Student Services serves the entire campus community.

Key Programs and Services:

  • Support and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, questioning, and ally members of the Princeton
    University community;
  • Educational, social, and supportive programming by, for, and about the
    LGBT community;
  • An extensive programming calendar that is designed to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of the Princeton
    University community;
  • Resources or referrals for all things LGBT related both on campus and
    in the surrounding communities;
  • On-going training sessions and consultation about homophobia, heterosexism, and other LGBT issues and concerns;
  • Opportunities for dialogue and academic pursuits around LGBT and queer related topics;
  • A safe space to talk, listen, be supported, and most importantly to be yourself.
