Getting Started
Getting Your Job to UsThere are several ways to get a job to Printing and Mailing. We have pickup and delivery twice a day. Our driver leaves the Forrestal Campus at approximately 10:00 in the morning and again at 2:00 in the afternoon. If you have a pickup for printing or mailing, give us a call (8-3493) and request to be put on the pickup list. Whenever you call our office for a pickup, please supply us with your name, department name, complete address, including a room number (unless you are in a building with a receiving area) and let us know if our driver will need a hand truck. Our customer service area is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for those who prefer to drop their jobs off in person. You can fax (8-1336) or email (printing@princeton.edu) your order to us anytime, day or night. Or you can drop your job into campus mail. Electronic files for printing or mailing can be placed into our fileserver You will need to sign in to the server using your Windows name and password. If you do not know your password or do not have one, please contact the Help Desk. Once the document is on our server, call (8-3493), fax (8-1336), or e-mail (printing@princeton.edu) to give us instructions. When placing an order for a job, we will need to know the department name, account number, your name and telephone number, to whom and where the proof gets delivered, and to whom and where the final job gets delivered, in addition to all the specifics of the job, i.e. quantity, stock, ink color, cutting, folding, binding, and mailing information. To deliver a job, we need the department name, a complete address, including a room number, and the full name of the person who should receive the job. (This information is very important in cases where the person ordering the job is not the person who will be receiving the final printed job.)
