Computer workstations in Firestone Library |
Throughout campus libraries, academic halls,
and other buildings, you will find a wealth of computing
resources, including
PC and Macintosh workstations, laser printers, and scanners.
In addition, each residential college, eating club, and many
dorm buildings are equipped with their own computer clusters.
Nonetheless, most students do purchase their own computers,
often laptops. Many students buy their computers through
the
Student
Computer Initiative, which offers top-of-the-line systems
at discount prices. All dorm rooms and many campus buildings
are equipped with Ethernet connections and a growing number
of areas are equipped
with wireless networking facilities.
