West College houses administrative
offices, including the offices of admission and financial aid. Each year
the Admission Office seeks to admit a diverse group of students without
regard to their financial circumstances. Currently, more than half of
Princeton's undergraduates receive financial aid from the University. Aid
is granted through student grants and work-study—not student loans.
Richardson Auditorium in
Alexander Hall is the premier performance venue on campus. Music department
ensembles and student groups perform here in addition to big-name speakers
and performers. Recent guests include: Colin Powell, Bill Clinton, Ben
Stiller, Billy Joel, Bill Gates, Condoleeza Rice, and Hillary Clinton.
