Princeton is located in Princeton, N.J.,
exactly halfway between New York City and Philadelphia. Each
is easily accessible
from the University by train or car (traveling time is approximately
one hour).
The University's main campus is located in Princeton
Borough and Princeton Township. The
population
of the Borough and Township together is 30,000. Students
enjoy the variety of restaurants and shops along Nassau
and Witherspoon
streets, including cafés, book stores, and shopping
outlets. Other academic institutions in Princeton include
Westminster
Choir College,
the Princeton Theological Seminary, and the Institute for
Advanced Study.
The University also has facilities in West Windsor, N.J.
(West Windsor Fields), and Plainsboro, N.J. (James Forrestal
Campus).
