The University encourages students to study abroad as part of their
undergraduate studies. Many students study abroad for a year, a semester,
or a summer. In addition, several students undertake summer internships
abroad, while others participate in longstanding Princeton work abroad
programs in France and Germany. The Study Abroad Program currently
approves more than 100 programs/universities abroad for Princeton credit
during the academic year, and students can petition to attend a program
not on the approved list. Students on financial aid continue to receive
their financial aid while abroad for study during the academic year. In
addition, there are summer funds offered by the University that can help
to defray the costs of summer study and internships. Study, work, and
research abroad form a memorable part of the undegraduate experience for
many Princeton students.
