A letter from an alumna about Jose Mateo ’74

Thanks so much for your December 5 article about Jose Mateo ’74 (cover story). It’s great to have a classmate — Ron Daniels also comes to mind — whose glory I can bask in.

As a resident of the far left coast and a self-described radial Episcopalian (yes, they do exist), I sometimes wonder what parallel universe my fellow letter writers live in. Their letters are wonderfully clear and incisive and perhaps can even lead to dialogue and understanding.
Burns said it nicely:
"Oh wad some Pow’r the giftie gie us
To see oursels as others see us!"
