Materials Camp for Teachers

As part of a partnership with ASM, PCCM will conduct a Materials Camp for high school teachers here at Princeton University.   Materials Science was not taught in NJ schools as a complete course before teachers from our camp, working with PCCM Education, developed courses and received approval from their school boards.  This week-long course helps teachers find ways to incorporate materials science into their established science courses to pave the way for full materials science courses in the future.  Faculty may present a lunch-time lecture to teachers on their research or a topic in materials science. Faculty may also act as content experts throughout the year and answer teacher and student emails.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours, plus preparation
