- The U.S. Census Bureau has a collection of demographic and socioeconomic data for 227 countries for the years 1950 to the present (with some population projections to 2050). The International Data Base covers such areas as population, infant mortality, fertility, migration, ethnicity, religion, and language, literacy, employment, and income.
- The World Bank has three databases available that contain information on social characteristics. All three databases include developed and developing countries.
- EdStats has information on educational attainment, expenditures, and student-teacher ratios. The data are available in Excel format
- GenderStats has data on gender statistics, including data on poverty, demographics, health, and education. Labor force and political participation data are under construction.
- HNPStats is a database with information on health, nutrition, and population.
