The fifth annual Princeton
Colloquium on Public and International Affairs, "From
Passion to Politics: What Moves People to Take Action?" will be held
on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21, 2007. Co-sponsored
by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs
and Princeton University's Office of Religious Life, this year's
Colloquium will explore what motivates people to move beyond cognitive
awareness of a problem to take actual steps to provide assistance.
This theme was triggered by keynote speaker Dr. Paul Slovic's
work on the psychological explanation for our failure to be moved
by genocide.
