Success Stories
This website is a repository for information and makes few recommendations or determinations of success or failure except in the working papers. Many of the cases we describe “fail” in the sense that they do not convince people to lay down arms. The links on this page lead you to cases that have received broad acclaim. They are by no means perfect. Most left important issues for courts to resolve or for later constituent assemblies to address. Some inspired parallel negotiations to negotiate specific problems. Nonetheless, they are instructive and they represent a range of approaches.
