Case Files

Each case study starts with a case file or coding form that poses over 100 questions about constitution writing. The main purpose of these forms is to make it possible to draw tight comparisons across cases. Casual users who want more information than our prose summaries offer may find the case files helpful, but scholars are the main audience.

We encourage users to convey corrections and provide us with missing information, if problems exist. Those who use this material in their work should use the citation form that appears under "credits."

The case files are in Excel Format. Accessibility depends on the version of Excel installed on your computer. If the file appears but does not show a scroll arrow, go to the Excel menu and click on “Open New Window.” This step should remedy most problems.
