Princeton Environmental Network was formed in the fall of 2002 to merge the Princeton Conservation Society (PCS) and Princeton Environmental Action (PEA). However, after this merger, several other environmental groups emerged on campus. It no longer made sense to call ourselves an "environmental network" if we were not including those groups.
Thus Princeton Environmental Network is being re-structured for the spring of 2004. We are continuing and expanding on the idea of having an environmental network by holding monthly meetings in the first week of every month with a representative from all of the campus environmental organizations. This will allow increased communication between the groups and collaboration on joint projects, such as Earth Week. The group that formerly met as the Princeton Environmental Network in 2003 will return to calling itself Princeton Environmental Action.
