The
Center for French Studies, within the Program in Contemporary
European Politics and Society, was created by the French
Government in 1993 and supports a wide array of programs
that encourage the diffusion of French culture. It supports
the undergraduate curriculum by providing opportunities
for study in France, senior thesis research in France,
language training, and summer internships in France.
The center also supports the graduate program through
doctoral dissertation grants and research projects.
Additionally, among other activities, it sponsors conferences
and joint research projects and supports the development
of new courses.
