Christian Gomez ’03
is currently in Washington, D.C.

After
returning from Central America,
Christian became Executive Director of PiLA,
traveling throughout Latin America to increase fellow
ship opportunities. Following two years at the PiLA
helm, he returned to his native Washington, DC, where
he now works in the Democratic Governance Program at the Inter-American Dialogue.

The Wanderer: "I like living outside, waking up and going
to be with the sun. I like knowing what phase the moon is in and how the
weather is changing. I like teaching and learning about trees, plants, animals.
I like eating fruits and vegetables straight from the plant. I like traveling
and seeing new places but I also like knowing one place very well."

Christina Lara ’07
Christina Lara '07 was the Fellow at Convivencia Educativa (CEAC), in Mexico, in 2007-08. CEAC is an organization that works on capacity building with teachers and students in rural schools throughout Mexico. During Christina's fellowship, she not only worked hands-on in the schools, but was also responsible for writing monthly reports on the progress made at each school visited that month. Her evaluations were integral to the ongoing success of CEAC and were so well received that it was suggested to her that she combine her evaluations and insights into a paper to be published by the International Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies.
