    As a Damage Controlman in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, I served on these ships:

            USS Everglades AD24. Destroyer tender ported in Charleston, SC.

     

            USS Valcour AGF1. Flagship for the Commander of Middle East Forces ported in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

     

            USS Intrepid CV/CVA/CVS11. Attack Carrier converted to Antisubmarine Warefare Carrier, and now the Intrepid Museum in New York City
