When the web "started" in 1994 we'd often visit sites where we didn't know "where we were". At the time it was a new experience -- seeing webpages other people had created. Yet a sense of place always seemed to be missing. I guess that's what the internet is -- a place without a geography or a map. Welcome to the east coast of the United States; located in the "neck area" of New Jersey, just above Route 195, north of Trenton, northwest of Philadelphia. In 1994, I started as a multimedia specialist at PU in their newly created New Media Center. Five years later, I moved to another department to focus on solely on project work. In that time, I ended up as a project manager and in 2008, took over as the Manager for the NMC in addition to my project work. It's been interesting! Recently, a colleague of mine were featured in the local U.S. 1 newspaper. |
