We are pleased to welcome you to the website for Princeton Model Congress 2002, to be held November 21 - 24 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. It is truly an honor to serve as Executive Directors of the oldest college-run government simulation program in the country. This year marks PMC's twenty-first birthday, and in the last two decades nearly 10,000 high school students have come to our nation's capital to learn about and experience the inner workings of our government and our Constitution. We are projecting a total attendance of about 1100 for our 2002 conference, and we will enforce a delegation size limit of 25 students per school. We are very excited about the improvements to our program that we are currently working on. In particular, we look forward to the opening of our Policy Specialists Office, which will provide on-call support for congressional committees and enhance committee sessions with fact-based legislation and passionate debate on relevant, timely issues. We continue to be very proud of our Special Programs -- Supreme Court, Cabinet, and Press Corps -- and encourage interested delegates to apply early for these selective positions. We believe that the winning combination of the expertise of our Princeton undergraduates, the energy and enthusiasm of our high school students and teachers, and the excitement of our location in the heart of Washington, D.C. provides an extraordinary opportunity to partake in what Princeton graduate James Madison called the American "experiment in democracy." We are proud to be the heirs of Madison's legacy, and we invite you to join us this fall in our special mission: to provide an unparalleled educational experience in the workings of our system of government and to train the next generation of American leaders.
