South African Studies
includes Index to South African Periodicals (1987-present) -- South African State Library. ISAP provides over 203,000 records covering more than 440 South African periodicals. South African National Bibliography (1988-present), Investor's Guide (updated quarterly) Provides detailed information on over 610 companies listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange,National English Literary Museum (1990-present) (NELM) in Grahamstown provides more than 85,000 records (comprehensive since 1990, retrospective to the 19th century) in five databases,Knipkat from the Nasionale Afrikaanse Letterkunde Museum en Navorsingsentrum (NALN) Knipkat is the indexed database of press cuttings from newspapers and magazines relating to Afrikaans language, literature, and culture,Index to South African Theses and Dissertations (early 1900s to present) from the University of Potchefstroom Library, Witwatersrand University Management Research Reports (1970-present) The Wits Library of Management database contains 1,800 records on management in South Africa,Centre for Rural Legal Studies Database (1987 and earlier to present) 3,600 records.  South African Legal Abbreviations.

AccessUN Full-text of documents from the six main bodies of the United Nations; 1996 to date

Contemporary Women's Issues. 1992+includes the full text of   articles from journals, newsletters, research reports, etc. It is international in scope and topics covered include health, family life, development, human rights, gender  feminism, legal and social issues, arts, and customs.

Dissertations Abstracts on Disc  1816 to the present;  some master's theses from 1962 to the present  nclude; updated  monthly; dissertations at over 550 universities, including almost all North American graduate schools and many European universities.

Econlit 1969 + on and is updated quarterly;  a comprehensive, indexed  bibliography, with selected abstracts and full-text   book reviews, of worldwide scholarship on economics from more than 400 major journals, books, collective volumes, and working papers.

GenderWatch. 1982+ contains the full-text from more than 90 jjournals, magazines and newspapers focusing on gender and  women's issues. It contains over 30,000 articles dating back to the 1980's covering many different  socioeconomic, education, occupation, ethnic, racial, political, and religious topics.

Historical Abstracts 1977 to the present; indexes and abstracts scholarly articles, dissertations, and books on world history (excluding United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present. Over 2100  journals published in 50 languages are indexed.

GPO/Marcive Web DOCS (U.S. Government Publications,1976- updated monthly. Contains more than 450,000 records for documents on all subjects of interest to the U.S. government published by the US Government Printing Office. Covers all types of U.S. government documents, including: Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records; judiciary materials; documents issued by executive departments (Defense, State, Labor, Office of the President, etc.)

FBIS (Foreign Broadcast Information Service Electronic Index). 1983+  translations of daily broadcasts, periodicals, government statements, which cover political, military, economic, environmental and sociological news and commentary, etc. The database indexes FBIS Daily Reports, 1977-1996, includes Near East and Sub-Saharan Africa WNC, July 1994--.

Index to United Nations Documents and Publications  covers 6 main U.N. bodies; 1971 to date; updated monthly. Indexes United Nations publications, including documents,mimeographed items, official records and periodicals.

International Political Science Abstracts. 1989+ ; indexes and abstracts articles from International Periodicals.  Articles in English are abstracted in English; those in other languages are abstracted in French, with all titles translated into English.

Lexis/Nexis  comprises over 650 full-text information sources and abstracts from over 1,000 sources.

PAIS: Public Affairs Information Service.  1980+ ; indexes articles in over 1,400 periodicals and thousands of government documents, statistical directories, reports, pamphlets, conference proceedings, and books. Coverage includes materials from the entire spectrum of public and social policy issues.

Periodical Abstracts.(Proquest Direct Periodical Research Library) contains mainly articles full-text

Political Science Abstracts. 1975 +; abstracts of materials from public affairs magazines, major news magazines,professional journals, and books devoted to politics and political analysis for both foreign as well as U.S. politics.

Rlin Eureka  contains records for materials from many different academic libraries, museums, and archives. Each record describes an item or collection; most records give local holdings information.

U.S. Foreign Affairs. 1990+   selection of official statements, testimony, transcripts, foreign policy factsheets, and country information which has been printed and released electronically by the U.S. Department of State.
