2012 Mercer County Community Issues Survey

Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs wants to evaluate the current social and economic health of Mercer County, New Jersey. To accomplish this, we are asking Mercer County residents about their experiences living in the area and about issues currently affecting the county. A report based on the results of this survey will be shared with local government officials to better inform the public policy-making process in Mercer County.

The main goals of the 2012 Community Issues Survey include:

  • Assessing the housing market in Mercer County.

  • Examining current employment trends among Mercer County residents.

  • Measuring residents' attitudes toward various issues such as the economy, municipal consolidation, and voting behavior.

This survey was designed by the Woodrow Wilson School's Regional Research Initiative (RRI). The RRI's primary objective is to provide New Jersey's state and local government officials with applied research on topical public policy issues affecting the state.

The survey is being conducted by Princeton University's Survey Research Center. You have been invited to participate in this survey because your residence was one of a small number that were randomly selected to help with this study. Taking this survey is entirely voluntarily.

We greatly appreciate you sharing your thoughts and opinions about life in Mercer County. Your responses will be kept confidential and separate from any identifiable information. You may skip over any questions you do not wish to answer.
