About Us

The New Jersey Association for Public Opinion Research was founded in 1972 as a regional chapter of the American Association for Public Opinion Research. NJAPOR is an association of professional survey researchers whose work encompasses academic social science, policy and program evaluation, market research and testing, and public opinion polling. NJAPOR provides opportunities for:

Professional Development and Education: At our quarterly meetings, NJAPOR invites speakers to present findings from their latest research. We also plan to sponsor half-day seminars led by nationally known experts in the field of survey research. These seminars and meetings often provide educational professional development opportunities for students and younger researchers who are not able to the national AAPOR conference.

Career Networking: New Jersey is home to some of the nation’s largest and most prestigious polling and survey research firms. Our quarterly meetings provide opportunities for members to renew old friendships, meet colleagues from different organizations, and learn about new career opportunities.
