______WHAT IS ______
PRINCETON SUMMER THEATER?
Princeton Summer Theater is the Princeton community's premiere summer repertory theater company. Located on the Princeton University campus in the historic Hamilton Murray Theater, PST has been bringing exceptional live theater to audiences of all ages at affordable prices since 1968.
PST's 2009 season includes the uproarious and satirical Urinetown, The Musical, a multiple Tony Award-winning musical; The Glass Menagerie, a heartfelt memory play; No Time for Comedy, a hilarious take on love and the very act of playwriting; and closes with the riotous play The Underpants, adapted by Steve Martin from a 1911 German farce.
For our youngest fans we have two brand new children’s shows to delight and educate, as well as our Friday workshop series to give parents a well-deserved break and kids a glimpse into the magic of theater.
This summer, we also present a chance for talented high school students to see their work produced onstage with our inaugural Young Playwrights' Contest.
We look forward to having you join us for another summer of high quality entertainment in the heart of the beautiful Princeton campus. From all of us, welcome to Princeton Summer Theater.
