Description:
The scientific study of social behavior, with an emphasis on social interaction and group influence. Topics covered will include social perception, the formation of attitudes and prejudice, attraction, conformity and obedience, altruism and aggression, and group dynamics.

Each student must be a member of a precept. Precept meetings will be discussion sessions designed to familiarize students with the research methods of social psychology. Students will gain practical research experience through weekly assignments. Students are expected to have completed the assignment for a given precept and be prepared to discuss it.
