Fountain Gigs

Woody Woo Fountain (9/93, 9/92)
Home football victories victories are traditionally celebrated with a postgame performance in the Woodrow Wilson School fountain. Some favorite fountain tunes include "Wipeout," "Rock Lobster," and of course, "Hawaii 5-0." (Here our Drum Major is rowing the trash section through a rendition of "5-0.")

Trumpets, Low Brass Going Down (Fall '94, '97)
Performing the B-52's "Rock Lobster" (a trademark PUB tune) always involves going down and lobstering. This becomes more challenging in the fountain....

Saxes Going Down (10/90), Clarinets (Fall '95)
...regardless of the instrument you play. By the way, real musicians wear the Band jackets everywhere; these jacket-less folks are wimps.
|
| Taking the First Step (Fall '90, '98, '00) We
bunny hop into the fountain. Naturally. |

Conductor (Fall '91, '88)
Never one to shirk challenges, the Stud Conductor prefers to conduct from under the fountain itself. The more foolhardy, excuse me, adventurous conductors conduct from on the fountain. At least then they don't have to worry about being lit on fire.

|
Lobstering (11/93, Hahvahd '94)
The clarinets demonstrate their lobstering skills. Lobstering in the fountain is guaranteed to vastly increase the value of all fine woodwinds. (Better protect the fine tonal quality of that Alto Muffler. Yeah, right.)

Brass (Fall '86, '97, '98, '00) In the event
of a water landing, trombones may not be used as paddles, and the
sousaphone is not a floatation device. |

More Lobstering (September '98)
After a home football victory, be sure to follow the Band up Prospect Avenue to the Woody Woo fountain, to see even more wet musicians.
