[photo] [photo] Marching (Spring 94, Reunions '95)
Well, what did you think we mean by "high-stepping"?

Band Photo 1999 The Band poses for its formal photo once each Fall. Here's the most recent photo....and our better side. [photo] [photo]

[photo] [photo] Cheering (Fall '92, '97) Along with the cheerleaders, the Band considers itself "Princeton's No. 1 Athletic Supporters." Never a group to mince words, the Band's enthusiastic cheers are always entertaining, if not 100% politically correct.

In the Stands (4/93, Fall '95)
What would the stands at a Princeton football or basketball game be without the Band? (Well yes, quieter.) And with awesome dual national championships for Princeton's lacrosse teams, its a sure bet you'll find us in the lacrosse stands as well.

[photo] [photo] On the Field On your left is the Annual Flasher Routine, from the Hahvahd '98 show. And on the right our tubas play Cornell's Alma Mater, "with all the pomp and majesty it deserves."

Four DMs at the Van (11/92) The DMs (short for Drillmasters) do lots of sh*twork, including transporting the instruments around in the Band Van (shown here, actual size). They also help out the Drum Major at field rehearsals (hence the name "Drillmaster"), write the weekly Poop, take attendance and play phone tag with Band members, and do whatever else needs to be done. [photo] The Double-Double Rotating P (10/80) Our trademark formation from nearly every pregame show, it's The One, The Only, Double-Double Rotating P!

In the Fountain (10/90, 10/94) Performing the B-52's Rock Lobster (a trademark PUB tune) always involves going down and lobstering. This becomes more challenging in the fountain. [photo] [photo]

[photo] [photo] Pies 'R Us (11/93, 11/78) The Band has a close affinity for cream pies. In fact, we have it on good authority that without the PUB, Ready-Whip would have gone under years ago.

[photo] Scrambling (11/81) Unlike traditional marching bands, we get from one formation to the next by scrambling, shown here, actual size.

Trash Percussion (11/86, late '80s) Members of the Trash Percussion section are free to devise any instrument. Sometimes, the choice of a trash instrument reveals odd fetishes.... [photo] [photo]

[photo] Concerned Responsible Alumni of Princeton (Dartmouth '82) The Concerned Alumni of Princeton, or CAP, was an organization of alums with views that many others found....reactionary, shall we say. During the Dartmouth '82 show, we saluted their demands.
