Two models of the new Princeton Stadium
and
Weaver Track and Field Stadium
were displayed
by the University at
Alumni Day in February 1997.
This is a collection of photos of those models;

For the sake of the descriptions below, I'm referring
to the closed horseshoe end of the stadium as due north.
Princeton Stadium is oriented the same as
Palmer Stadium, so the views below shouldn't be too confusing.
The home stands are on the west side, visitor stands on the east,
and the new track is south, between the stadium and Jadwin Gym.
Overviews of the entire complex from the west (home side)
and from the northeast.
Overviews from the southwest and northwest.
Weaver Track and Field Stadium is
located between Jadwin Gym
and Princeton Stadium.
Another view from the northwest.
Closer views of the outside of the wall, from the
northwest, and from the
southeast corner (the end of the visitor's side).
(Note this model doesn't show the south side of the
stadium.)
These are views of the inside of the stadium.
In the rightmost view you're seated in the south (closed)
end (the south seats aren't visible in this model), and are
looking toward the southeast corner of the stadium (the corner shared
by the closed end and the visitor's side).
In the middle view, you're above the field, looking toward the northeast corner
(the corner shared by the visitor's side and the closed end
of the horseshoe).
In the leftmost view, you are in the north (closed) end's lower deck,
looking toward the stadium's
northwest corner (the corner shared by the home side and the
closed end).
On the left you're above the field, looking southwest (toward the corner
shared by the home side and the "open" end).
You can see the "open" end has a lower deck (only); those
seats are back-to-back with the track's grandstands.
The opening at the bottom appears to be vehicular/tunnel
access to field level.
On the right you're seated in the stands along the "open"
end of the stadium, looking toward the home stands.
These are closer views of the home stands, showing
the split between the two decks and the entrances
to each deck.
The structures between the two decks appear to
include steps to allow passage from the lower
deck to the suspended walkway that leads
to the upper deck's entrance.
On the left is a view down the concourse on the home side of the
stadium, taken from the west edge of Weaver Track.
You can also see the west edge of the grandstands for the track.
The small opening above the track's grandstands appears to be a
portal entering Princeton Stadium's northeast stands.
The darker rectangular region to the left of the track's grandstand
appears to be a vehicular/tunnel entrance to the football stadium's field level.
On the right is a closer view of the home concourse,
showing the steps to the second level, and the
ramps leading into the upper deck.
The view on the left is a close-up of the west (home) concourse,
take from several feet off the ground.
On the right is a closer view of the southwest corner of the
concourse, showing the steps leading into the lower deck.
These are views from outside of west (home) side
of the stadium, looking through one of the openings
in the horseshoe wall.
At concourse level are the steps leading down into the lower deck, and
above is a suspended walkway which leads to an entrance into the upper deck.
The view on the left is from ground level; the view on the right
is from the level of the suspended walkway.
On the left, you're looking north along the visitors (east) concourse.
On the right is an overview of the seating for Weaver Track, looking
ENE; there's an overhang extending over a portion of these stands.

Disclaimer
This page is provided by Irwin Tillman. In his own words,
"I photographed these stadium models while they were on display
in February 1997.
They don't reflect the final plans for the complex...
I was not involved with the stadium project in any way;
I don't represent Athletics, the University administration,
or the architect.
I'm just an interested onlooker, an
amateur photographer, and a
Friend of the Tiger Band.
I've placed these photos online for other
Band alumni; I expect
they may be of interest to other Princetonians."
