Zheyun (Jerry) Zhang has broad interests in the Science, Technology and Environmental Policy (STEP) of renewable & sustainable energy, especially biofuel production.
The onging research projects are
1) Metabolomic understanding of biofuel production in C. acetobutylicum and C. cellulotyicum
2) Biogeochemical dynamics of greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4 and N2O) in restored and natural tidal wetlands
3) Sorption of emerging organic contaminants by soil and sediment organic matters
