Officers

The PUP board is a small group of Princeton students hopelessly dedicated to bringing you musical theatre! We select each year's season and manage the administrative, business, and production aspects of each show. Want to keep the musicals coming? Run for the PUP board! Elections will be held following the Sex on Broadway performance on December 10th. Get on the mailing list for updates!

Amanda Bestor-Siegal - President

Amanda was basically roped into PUP before ever coming to Princeton, and three years later she is very happy about it. After moving mattresses onstage and operating a broken spotlight, Amanda's love for PUP took off when she co-directed Sex on Broadway 2012 (AKA creating inappropriate warm-ups and sleeping in Forbes Blackbox for a week). Since then, she has been on a mission to try every production position ever (almost there!) and to avoid driving the PAC van at all costs (not so good at this...). Amanda loves Wa mac & cheese, colorful socks, and anything with a panda on it.

Christina Campodonico - Vice President

Christina is a member of the class of 2013 and is excited to be serving as Vice President! Christina hasn't been in a PUP show since the infamous Ragtime, but she has had a ton  of fun taking a more "behind-the-scenes" role in theatre production, doing choreography and set design, as well as all those important VP duties! When not doing PUP stuff, performing in shows, singing for Chapel Choir, leading campus tours, or making videos for the Student Environmental Communication Network, Christina  studies architecture and dance.

Robin Yang - Business Manager

Robin Yang runs LA. She didn't get no sleep cos of y'all. She's the only bad girl on PUP board. She manages the business in this company.  She's worked three years to get to this position, and it's been a lovely time.  She likes to feel shiny.

Claire Greene - Production Manager

Claire Greene loves PUP, butterscotch brownies, and sunshine. She is very excited to be appearing as the role "Production Manager" and wants to thank all of her friends and family for their support. Even you, Kiddo.

Julia Bumke - Publicity Co-chair

Julia is a municipality in the district Lukunga in the north of Kinshasa Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). It is bounded on the north by the Congo River and in the south by the Boulevard du 30 Juin. La Gombe is both a residential area and Kinshasa's business district. It also houses some of the DRC's principal governing bodies, including the Palais de la Nation and the Banque Centrale du Congo on the Boulevard Colonel Tshatshi. Various ministries, diplomatic and media organizations are also situated there. The offices of Kinshasa's governor are located in La Gombe, making it the capital of Kinshasa Province.

Alison Gocke - Publicity Co-Chair

Alison is the destruction or degeneration of brain cells. Brain injuries occur due to a wide range of internal and external factors. A common category with the greatest number of injuries is traumatic brain injury (TBI) following physical trauma or head injury from an outside source, and the term acquired brain injury (ABI) is used in appropriate circles, to differentiate brain injuries occurring after birth from injury due to a disorder or congenital malady.

Ariceli Ariel Alfaro - Technical Director

Have you ever heard of Triple A? You know that car company that you call whenever you need help or someone to get the job done. Well, Ari Alfaro doesn't have triple A for her name for no reason. No siree. Ari is just as reliable and trustworthy as Triple A, maybe even better! She's from Burbank, California and loves the sun and people. Previous experience in theater has been working for a theater in North Hollywood as a stage manager and lighting/sound technician. If there's a light that needs placing or a set that needs building, Ari's the one to call! Also if you just want to have fun!

Luke Massa - Music Manager

Luke's was first seen on a PUP stage playing "Piano 1 and 2" for the its now infamous production of Ragtime, which Completely Flouted Anticipations. He has appeared on/behind/in-front-of/next-to/stage in every show since then, as "Piano 1" in Reefer Madness, "Piano 2" in Company, "Piano 1" in Charlie Brown, "Co-Pianist" in Carousel, "Piano 1" in Last Five Years and "Frightened Inmate 2" in Illyria. One of his chief goals in life is to be involved with more PUProductions than anyone in history, as well breaking down the binary that one has to be either a die-hard PUPunster or find them Painful. He wants to live in a world where we can create portmanteaus with PUP and a word that begins with P without it being PUPolitical statement. Now, more than ever, he would like to thank Mrs. Dalton, his wonderful piano teacher of 11 years, for giving him a gift that allowed him to get to know this beautiful group of people.

Gary Fox - Development Director

Gary is PUPleased to PUProduce some PUP-isms in order to PUPresent himself.   Last year, Gary was PUProud to PUPerform in Sex on Broadway as PUProfessor Einstein and in Reefer Madness during PUPreview weekend. As this year’s development director, Gary is PUPrepared to PUPlan for PUP’s 25th anniversary!  Get PUPumped!  PUPeace

Izzy Kasdin - Assistant Technical Director

Izzy Kasdin was once heard to say (granted, it was during a slightly delirious state doing late-night tech for Carousel) that all she has are cats and theatre. This is only partially true. Since she went to college, her cats, Peanut Butter and Jelly, seem to have forgotten who she is. So, really, all she has is theatre. Perhaps this is why she owns way too much black clothing and uses the command, “Cue” in her everyday speech. Izzy’s friends also know her for having an iTunes library that consists of over 24 hours worth of show tunes, for annually wearing skirts for the entire month of April, and for being a dedicated member of the Sock of the Month Club. She loves to wear July socks in March, eat muffins with spoons, and do The Parent Trap handshake with her identical twin sister. Izzy also wishes her life were a Jane Austen novel. Sex on Broadway 2014 FLFLFL!!

Uchechi Kalu - Programs Manager

Uchechi Kalu is a secret Nigerian princess (who never sent in a bio).

Molly O'Neill - Press Coordinator

Molly is an American storyteller and author who has been awarded the Circle of Excellence in 1996 by the National Storytelling Network after being recognized by her peers as a master storyteller. She is a regular performer at the National Storytelling Festival. She is best known as one of the "Folktellers", a traveling storytelling duo consisting of Regan-Blake and her cousin, Barbara Freeman. The group was formed in 1975 and traveled the country by bus for many years.

Mark Watter - Graphic Designer

Mark is is the fourteenth episode of the eighth season of The Simpsons, which originally aired February 9, 1997. In the episode, The Itchy & Scratchy Show attempts to regain viewers by introducing a hip new character named Poochie, who will be voiced by Homer. The episode is largely self-referential and satirizes the world of television production, fans of The Simpsons and the series itself. It was written by David S. Cohen, and directed by Steven Dean Moore. Alex Rocco guest starred as Roger Meyers, Jr. for the third and final time, and Phil Hartman guest stars as Troy McClure. Poochie would become a minor recurring character and Comic Book Guy's catchphrase, "worst episode ever" is introduced in this episode. With "The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show", the show's 167th, The Simpsons surpassed The Flintstones in the number of episodes produced for a prime-time animated series.

Evan Thompson - Box Office Manager

Evan is a freelance hippopotamus, doing mostly photo-shoots and making the occasional documentary appearance. When off the job, he enjoys mud baths, long naps, and confusing zoologists by traveling to parts of the world hitherto unpopulated by his majestically cumbersome species. He does not, to the best of his knowledge, have a key.

Dan Pedraza - Social Chair

Dan Pedraza WILL PUPassassinate you.

Christina Henricks - Props Manager

Christina Henricks runs around campus (literally, if she must) in support of all things theatre. Since beginning her behind-the-scenes career in middle school with director John Doyle, she has painted furniture, dressed people, undressed people, moved sets, assistant stage-managed, stage-managed, found props, borrowed props, bought props, and designed props. Most memorably, for the glorious Reefer Madness, she located a stuffed muskrat that then gave the music manager a surprise one morning. She looks forward to finding strange new items in the props room with Ginny, provided the boxes on the upper shelves don't crush them both. Please note that her profile picture, physical person, and daily existence are available for rent as advertising space for your next show.

Ginny Farrell - Costumes Manager

Ginny is, as costume manager, probably the most important person in PUP. Probably. As the currently sole keeper of the keys to the mysterious Area 51, she wields power beyond most officers’ wildest dreams. It’s kind of like the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin but with more sequins and severed limbs.

Ryan Serrano - Historian

Ryan enjoys being involved in PUP and campus theater ever so much.  He alternates quoting and misquoting people and calls it his job.  Hopefully, he will be able to live up to the vast, impressive legacies left by the Historians of the past two years, but probably not.  Current projects: maintaining the Historian as the most powerful person on board, desperate attempts to expand the Slavic department, and finding a way to get paid to write and surf the internet all day.  He plans to jump over a shark within the year.

Holly Linneman - Co-Archivist

Holly is a member of the class of 2013 who loves musical theater and PUP! While this is her first year on board, she began her involvement with PUP as a freshman in Sex on Broadway 2013, and has subsequently appeared in Reefer Madness and Illyria. When not co-archiving things, Holly's other interests include English, French, and gummy fruit snacks.

Lily Gold - Co-Archivist

Lily blames PUP for being her main corrupting influence since coming to Princeton with the Class of 2014.  She came to campus untouched by musical theater ambition, but she was soon seduced by a myriad of sequins and fell into a torrid affair during which she could not keep herself from having Sex on Broadway morning, noon and night.  Her actors affectionately deemed her “the devil” director after she perverted them into living with her in sin.  Since joining board she has started to spread her PUP contaminated seed all over campus as strangers are coming forward alleging spontaneous outbreaks of nose tapping and PUPpppunning.  She plans on sporting her leather jacket and being just as PUPpppbadass for the next three years.

Andie DeLeon - Webmaster

Andie is a lolzing, PUPbamf Hispasian (who obviously loves abbreviations). She enjoys CJL food, peanut avocado rolls, kettle cooked barbecue chips, and any other sustenance that prevents her from being hungry. Andie likes to think she was the sex on Sex on Broadway 2014, although Lily may disagree… awkward. Still, she aspires spread PUPlove and nosetapping to the world.
