Head Coach Richard Lopacki 
Growing up in England Coach Rich had no other choice but to play rugby. How he ended up in the front row, however, will baffle generations to come! He has coached around the world - including in Sydney, Chicago and, of course, New Jersey. In his sixth year at Princeton his expertise and technical knowledge is priceless to PURFC.
Assistant Coach Shane Flynn
Shane has played rugby across the US, starting in 1993 at the Black Hills Rugby Club in South Dakota, continuing at Kutztown Univeristy and Penn State University, and spending two years with the North Penn Rugby Club before making the switch from playing to coaching. He served as head coach at Ursinus College from before coming to Princeton in the fall of 2004. Shane's intensity, enthusiasm, and great understanding of the game make him an incredible asset.
Head coach Tom MacFarlane retired at the end of the fall season. Tom played rugby during his undergraduate years at Princeton, and captained the team during 1987-1988. He began coaching Princeton Rugby in 1999. Highlights of Tom's coaching career included beating Penn State in the Mid-Atlantic tournament and going on to the National tourment during his first year, winning three EPRU titles in his first four years of coaching, and winning the Ivy League tourament in 2004--the first Ivy League title won by Princeton Men's Rugby in 25 years! Princeton Rugby will forever remember and appreciate Tom's love of the game, his good cheer and, of course, the unstoppable MacFarlane side-step.
