American Tribal style troupe from the S.F. Bay Area.  They sell costuming pieces from Flying Skirts, who sold us the beautiful 10-yard performance skirts that we wear in our shows, as well as the vibrant hand-dyed silk veils that we often use.

L. Rose Designs

L. Rose has quality velvet and silk costumes for reasonable prices. We just bought a complete set of shimmery new costumes from L. Rose, and they are fabulous!

Pink Gypsy Costumes

Our troupe wears velvet cholis and hip scarves from Pink Gypsy.  She has many other items such as videos, music and gifts.

Turquoise International

Turquoise doesn't just sell finger cymbals.  They also sell beautiful Egyptian costumes and Khaleegy thobes.  If you saw our 2002 show, you saw a few items from Turquoise.

Domba

Domba sells custom-made costuming items of the tribal and gypsy sort. Several of our members wear costuming by the women of Domba.

Alia Michele Designs

Alia makes beautiful costumes of the gypsy and "urban tribal" kind. She's best known for making costumes for the Gypsy fusion dancer Dalia Carella. If you are in the NY area, you can visit her studio in Queens.

Rakkasah

Rakkasah, the largest middle eastern dance festival in the United States, is held in New Jersey in October and California in March.  Master dance instructors hold workshops the week before, and during the festival, many vendors from around the world sell their wares.

IAMED

The International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance  is an international association of belly dancers, instructors, choreographers and musicians dedicated to promoting the art of belly dance.

Neon's World Dance TV Show

Neon came to film the Thursday night performance of our Spring 2002 show, and on Friday March 29, she will be airing parts of the show on television on Manhattan Cable. If you aren't in Manhattan, you can watch the live webcast.

The Egyptian Academy of Oriental Dance

Based in Manhattan, the Egyptian Academy of Oriental Dance is run by Yousry and Nourhan Sharif, two of America's best Egyptian Oriental dancers. In the Spring of 2001, Nourhan treated us to a workshop in the Dillon Gym Dance Studio.

Elizabeth Artemis Mourat

During the Fall 2001 Reading Period, Artemis gave a successful workshop on the Turkish style of Oriental Dance. Not only is she considered to be one of the best Turkish dancers in America, she is also a scholar and activist for the rights of the Roma.

Suhaila Salimpour

Suhaila gave a workshop for us in Fall 2000. Based in California, she has been developing standardized terminologies for the moves used by belly dancers, as well as awarding certifications to dancers who have mastered the technique of the dance.

Dalia Carella

Dalia teaches and performs a unique blend of Romany, Spanish and Indian dance she calls "Dunyavi."  Several of our dancers have attended her classes and workshops.
