Elissa, a member of the class of 2008, hails from the DC suburbs. As a
German major, she's a huge fan of small and esoteric academic
departments, and is also pursuing her teaching certification in middle-school German education.
Though her prior dance experience is limited to some ballroom and
contra dancing, the desire for a more serious pursuit of a new style
drew her to Raks at the beginning of her junior year. Dancing with Raks
is allowing her to fulfill a lifelong dream of being able to move her
hips with some degree of coordination, and she couldn't be happier to
get to rock out with this amazing and gorgeous group of girls.
